Hi,
I found myself a new hobby: woodworking. I bought myself some plywood sheets. Instead of guestimating how to cut it to pieces in the most optimal way, I started to surf around for software that can do it for me (having only 'cutting' and 'cutting stock problem' as keywords). I've found out that this is generally referred to as the cutting stock problem. And yes, there is software. But I haven't found anything that runs in linux. Of course, I can use wine to a few apps I have found. Nevertheles, I wondered whether there is an linux package I can use for it. Suggestions for keywords to extend my search are welcome as well.
