Screen tearing (Intel)

CPU: Intel Celeron N4100
Display chip: Intel HD Graphics 500

WM: i3
compton config: http://duncanlock.net/blog/2013/06/07/h … g-in-xfce/

$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
Section "Device"
  Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
  Driver      "intel"
  Option      "TearFree" "true"
EndSection

Everything is fine until I switch to the full screen mode (Super+f). Is there a way to fix screen tearing while I am scrolling in full screen mode?

Re: Screen tearing (Intel)

By not blindly copying configurations…

# Unredirect all windows if a full-screen opaque window is detected, to maximize performance for full-screen windows, like games.
# Known to cause flickering when redirecting/unredirecting windows.
# paint-on-overlay may make the flickering less obvious.
unredir-if-possible = true;

The SNA option will likely collide w/ the presence of compton.
