Binding compose key to a layout

Hello,
We use XFCE with multiple keyboard layouts.
The question is whether the compose key could be bound to a specific keyboard layout?
I use compose key on the right Alt key and I'm really used to it but on other layouts it's the AltGr key which is not functional if that's the compose key.
We frequently switch between the two layouts.
I would like to either disable the compose key if not the US layout is selected or make the AltGr functional on other layouts.

Re: Binding compose key to a layout

idk whether it's any possible to bind options to layouts in a multi-layout setup, but
a) you could setup up a shortcut that completely changes the xkbmap (setxkbmap …) inc. the options instead of using the group toggle
b) caps lock is usually useless in any layout ;-)
