Whenever I close the lid to my laptop, I get disconnected from the internet for a few seconds before it reconnects. Which is really annoying, is there some way I can keep this from happening?

To keep what from happening? Suspending, yes.
If you want to know if you can resume from suspend and instantaneously be connected to a wireless network, no.

Yes I know that but its completely turning off the WiFi network and disconnecting from all networks. Which I don't think its supposed to do.

Yes, it is.

Is your concern a lack of "S0 Low Power Idle" (the stuff where windows still fetches emails while "sleeping" - this requires special HW and idk about the linux support) or an active drop of the lease?
The latter is polite but probably caused by some sleep hooks of your network managing service (NM?) - unfortunately you told us nothing about the actual network setup.
However, while you probably can maintain the lease, the interface still needs to activate after the power-up. Unfortunately you also provided zero logs for us to understand where the gap comes from.
Also notice that
a) The AP/router/switch will have a limited lease time and you get kicked at some point and then will have to re-lease.
b) in this case if you switch location between the sleeps
1. you're an asshole because you keep a lease you don't use
2. your NM will unlikely auto-connect to the next best network (at an instant) so you might have to reconnect by hand or wait an even longer time until the NM figures that this AP is gone (if it does so at all)

Here is some output from "sudo journalctl -f" when suspending and unsuspending the computer

And what did you read in it?

Its saying something about limiting TX power. What does that mean?
Edit: also doing some some research and a "iwconfig" says that it may also be a problem with power managment. I've tried using some of the solutions provided on the wiki and other fourm threads to turn off the power management but to no avail. Any solutions? (The driver im using is "iwlwifi"
Edit2: Just figured out how to turn off power management with "iwconfig wlp3s0 power off". It did not solve the problem though

Transmission power, irrelevant. It's "limited" to the maximum value of the (is that really legal at your location?) range.
Edit: read the journal closer. What happens and when?

Upon looking closer, the logs are saying they are activating a "RF kill switch".

Is there any way to stop the system from activating it?
