Trackpoint Systemd.path failing to execute at boot due to permissions

HI,

Newbie here. I followed the Trackpoint wiki  for my Lenovo t420.

After the service failing to start at boot, I ran a journalctl on the service to see that it was failing with a permission denied error.

I then tried to chmod +x the shell script which did not work.

I then tried adding a User=root tag under the service but unfortunately, that didn't work either.

I also read on stack after some googling that systemd service's would be automatically run as root anyway.

I would appreciate any help in getting this to work. Thanks!
