Hi,
I have a problem with my clock. Indeed, it works too quickly. A few seconds by hour...
Do you have this problem ?
I must have a cron with ntpdate to resolve that.
I have this problem since I installed Arch, with many kernels...
Thanks,
Nicolas

Do you dualboot?

Yes, but it's not a problem...
I never boot on Windows.

Maybe same case?
If you don't use windows, then set your clock to UTC in /etc/rc.conf
I have it like that and never had problems- but I also don't have my partitions in ext3 filesystem.

If you are overclocking your PC, you can have this problem. I know, I've had it! I just run ntp in my startup script, or if you leave it on all the time, cron it every hour.
I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts...

No, I don't practice overclocking...
It's not normal I must launch a cron evevry hour...
I haven't got this problem in others distributions (Gentoo, Debian).

I opened a bug...

I have the same clock behavior here, only on Arch. Not very annoying because of my cron rule, but strange...

Have a look at this:

NTP is CORRECTLY configured...
I compiled myself a kernel 2.6.18, and no problems !

I solve the problem compiling myself a kernel.
Now, good bye stock kernel...
