Cinnamon applets - how do they get updated?

Good morning,

I am using cinnamon as DE with the applet grouped-window-list@cinnamon.org and recently it drives me crazy.
The applet does not show all running tasks as a button, instead some applications e. g. terminal are shown as pinned and not running. Pinning this task fixes it for once but it happens again next time running this task.
How did this get into my system? Are the applets part of the upgraded cinnamon package (4.0.10-2 -> 4.2.0-2)?

I can not figure out the version of the applet and how I could get a newer version because there is no version information in the cinnamon-settings applets module.

I found https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/t … nnamon.org - is that the source for the installed applet?

FYI Today I updated cinnamon (4.2.0-2 -> 4.2.1-1) and the above described bug seems to be gone.
I also found the bug (as fixed now) here: https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon/issues/8687
