xdg-open does not follow GDK_SCALE

Hi all,  I am using i3 with a hidpi monitor. So I set

GDK_SCALE=2

However, when I use

xdg-open .

to open nautilus, it does not follow my hidpi setting. Is it a bug? Is it possible to workaround it?
