After a major crash, could not startup Arch. I installed it again and recovered all of my home, applications and everything works. Is this common? Using UEFI. Arch 2019.06.01

No.

My guess would be that you sis not reformat your home directory. If you have only one user, they were probably assigned the (coincidentally) the correct UID.
You would have lost everything in /srv, and things would be back to defaults in /etc.
Not an installation issue. Moving to Newbie Forum.

Correct, no reformat, just used existing partitions. Thanks for the reply.
