[SOLVED] Arch+i3wm: GTK Theme ignored

Hi,
I came accross a strange phenomenon: On a freshly installed Arch system with i3wm, I change the window theme to AdwaitaDark and the icon theme to Numix (via lxappearance). Check ~/.gtkrc-2.0 and ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini -> both look good. Then I reboot and open Thunar and urxvt. Both ignore the AdwaitaDark window theme, but Thunar shows folder icons with the new icon theme. I tried with another theme, Adapta: Change to Adapta-Nokto via lxappearance and reboot: This time, Thunar accepts the new window theme, but urxvt still ignores it. Does anybody have an idea why this happens?
Thanks,
mipi

Re: [SOLVED] Arch+i3wm: GTK Theme ignored

I found the reasons for this behavior:
- I used the AUR package adwaita-dark. The theme of this package is ignored by Thunar. Instead I installed gnome-themes-extra from the Extra repo, which contains Adwaita Dark. This version of Adwaita Dark was accepted by Thunar.
- According to the documentation, configuration of the look of urxvt is via via .Xresources - which I wil do now.
