[solved] Where LC_* variables set

So many issues around locales on this forum. I am trying to understand one thing.
I set only LANG variable in locale.conf.

$ cat /etc/locale.conf
LANG=en_US.UTF-8

But locale command shows me that all LC_* variables are set to en_US.UTF-8.

$ locale
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8

I see /etc/locale.conf sourcing and export command for all LC_* variables in /etc/profile.d/locale.sh. But where actually all this LC_* variables are set to LANG? Is it some script?

Re: [solved] Where LC_* variables set

I suspect they are not actually set see the output of `env` it is just locale showing you the effective values for the entries containing quotes.
