Arch Linux Freezing System

Hi,

Randomly like once every 5 - 7 hours or so, the computer will just freeze. There is still audio coming through ok from youtube or a movie
but caps lock on the keyboard stops working and there is no input devices that work

I run Arch Linux with Cinnamon

I'm not sure what other logs to post, I know about journalctl but I'm not sure if that has information in it that you don't want to display

Thanks

Re: Arch Linux Freezing System

Without a journal, we can't really say much, FWIW there's a chance that you are running into a kernel issue and those will be logged without much "personal information" included. Post

journalctl -kb-1

after rebooting from a freeze at the least.

(FWIW in my complete journal for any given boot the most sensitive thing is the SSID of my access point in the networkmanager log, that's easily removable)

Might take a while but will do
thanks for the info about journalctl

Re: Arch Linux Freezing System

It said it could be releated to an overclock, i think the only overclock i have is my ram in the system running a little under the XMP profile
should i remove that and see if it's fixed because that bug seems like a GPU error
