Ryzen 3rd gen and navi chips support

Hi Guys,

I am going to build up a new system and I want to know if Ryzen 3700X/3800X CPU and RX 5700 graphics card will work on Arch?

Here is whole list of my build on PCPartpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/arnuld.mi … ved/r7VXP6

NOTE: MSI has BIOS update for Ryzen 3 series on their site (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support … -CARBON-AC). This Motherboard has BIOS flash utility and hence I can update it with a USB drive without putting on a CPU.

Re: Ryzen 3rd gen and navi chips support

As of 2019-08-24, I was able to get Zen support using the linux-zen package and graphics card support using amdgpu-pro-libgl from AUR.

Re: Ryzen 3rd gen and navi chips support

Support may be a bit sketchy for the next few months while the kinks are worked out and release schedules align, but once the relevant code is merged into the kernel/mesa it should be flawless.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan
