Linux tracker alternative

So i was watching this movie at youtube.com (around 7.30)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w2kN-uWaSs

And he claims a good way to give back to Linux is to download iso file as torrent and seed, because of server prices etc.

So the Idea goes on to make a Linux Download Central based on a homepage of some kind and try to convince the big Linux distros to use it, so all traffic will go through the Central because the user will seed it

Very simple explanation on the idea but i hope you all get the point smile

Any thoughts? Where to Start? Bad idea? Good idea? etc...

Dennis

EDIT

Couldnt find a better name for the topic..

Re: Linux tracker alternative

I looked at the site and it seems to do what i was thinking..

Both me and the movie on youtube have appearently not heard of it (and probably others) smile

I think ill send them a mail about some of my inputs smile

BTW the site look like something from the 90's so maybe thats why people think there is no solution or platform for this thought..
