Hello,
I've been using Arch for close to a month now, and have recently done a fresh install as I felt bloated down from all of my past experimenting with different DE's and WMs etc.
This current setup is quite barebones (for me) with BSPWM and LightDM.
For the past day and a half I have been trying to set up my bluetooth headset, following the wiki and various pages on the internet.
The problem I have (or had, but I'm not really sure if I solved it in a "nice" manner) is that upon initial system boot when attempting to connect to my headset through bluetoothctl connect, I will get the bluez.org.failed error message. This error message goes away however, when I start pavucontrol (which I've now uninstalled, due to the solution below).
So after more researching I discovered
start-pulseaudio-x11which if I run after a fresh boot, allows me to connect properly to my headset.
For the time being I've added this to my ~/.config/bspwm/bspwmrc however I would really like to know if there are any other options, and if this issue has been caused in the first place because I haven't installed any full DE packages this time, that has already configured this sort of stuff for me?
Thanks ![]()
