ZFS on Linux with Arch

I wanted to ask the community if anyone has had any positive experiences with zfs-dkms on arch linux. I'm in the process of upgrading drives for a Home NAS and was wanting to move to zfs instead of md and ext4. I was able to install zfs-dkms on my system and load the zfs module. However, after reading some blogs it seems like it may be a un-stable product resulting in future kernel panics and performance/stability challenges. Are users in the community running zfs-dkms with sucess? Are there any gotchas/hints that I should be following? Looking for some advice on if I should run with ZFS or go back to md/ext4.
Thanks..

Yep,
I read through that document, good for the install. However, not much user experience on stability or performance... I wonder how many people are using ZOL on Arch and what the experience has been. My gut is telling me to stick with md/ext4.

Re: ZFS on Linux with Arch

About 3% of archers are using zfs:
https://pkgstats.archlinux.de/package

And a couple hundred people upvoting the relevant AUR packages:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?K=zfs

As for stability or performance, that likely depends on your usage and hardware - but it's probably not so different from arch itself: it breaks, but everyone who uses it thinks it's worth it.

That said, btrfs seems to have a larger user base among linuces (zfs being more of a BSD filesystem).  So I'm not sure why the choice is zfs or ext4, why not btrfs?
