[SOLVED] Archiso fails to build releng profile with mounting errors.

As root I copied the releng profile over to my home directory, added all of the Arch packages I was interested in, and then ran a build to test if everything builds successfully. All of this was done after logging in as root. baseline builds without issue.

Relevant Error messages:

bsdcpio: Failed to set default locale
...
==> WARNING: work/x86_64/airootfs is not a mountpoint. This may have undesirable side effects.
...
mount: work/efiboot: mount failed: Operation not permitted.

Anyone know what might be happening to cause the build to fail?

Found the issue. It fails to build if you're running the ck kernel.

Fyi, I came across the same issue, building kernel 5.6, when running the Arch kernel 5.7 of the testing repo
