Keyboard Mapping - Not loading

I sucessfully installed Arch, I'm trying to modify my default US keymap, to remap the Caps Lock to Control.

I have been using the following guide for reference:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Li … figuration

I cloned the keymap

 sudo cp /usr/share/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/us.map.gz /usr/local/share/kdb/modified.map.gz

and modified the map by changing

keycode 58 = Control

I'm trying to load modified keymap

sudo loadkeys /usr/local/share/kbd/keymaps/modified.map

I'm not able to get the change in the keymap.

Second question,

The guide points out that:

A persistent keymap can be set in /etc/vconsole.conf

I dont have the file in my arch, do you guys have it by default? do you create it? what else do you guys have in there?

Re: Keyboard Mapping - Not loading

You create the file.

Not an Installation issue, moving to NC...
