First appearance of application menu takes several seconds

Hello,

I just wanted to ask:

I am using xfce. After starting a new session the first time I click on the applications buttons it takes up to five seconds until the program menu appears. After that, with every further click on the applications button the menu appears without any delay.

Maybe someone has an idea what could have gone wrong or how to do something like a reset of the menu?

Xfce is going through a transition. Please use search option provided by this forum and you will find relevant info about this issue.  No logs no help wink

Do we always have to write something like "I used the search function without success" before posting a problem to prevent answers like yours? With this try, e.g., I found nothing relevant.


As for the logs:
The fist time I pushed the applications menu button was 18:43:00 (taking up to 10 seconds until the menu appears), the second try was 18:43:30 and the menu was there without any delay:
