Notify-osd not working with kde and i3 installed

So i have this small problem with i3-gaps and kde installed at the same time.
When I log in to kde, notifications work fine.
I installed i3 and notify-osd, but when I login to i3, and try notify-send, nothing happens, when I remove the plasma package, notify-send works in i3-gaps, how can I solve this?
Tried google, notify-osd in the wiki, no succes.
