How do i install cuda 4.0

I need to install cuda 4.0 for gpgpusim (this is what i need). I am following these instructions to install  it. I am not sure whether i should just run the .run file for ubuntu and i couldn't find an AUR package. Can i just run that .run file?

Re: How do i install cuda 4.0

That software has an actively updated dev branch which much more upgraded tested and used cuda versions, it's probably much more fruitful to look into that direction than trying to shoehorn such an old compiler stack into Arch.

If you must install cuda 4 you might be able to adapt one of the existing AUR PKGBUILDs and adjusting the relevant references and depending on gcc44 instead.
