Hello,
Today I have updated my packages in arch on both my PC and my laptop and I have updated the kernel to 5.3. I tried to reboot after updating but when booting up on my laptop, it freezes at "Starting version 243.0-arch" and it stays there forever, while my normal PC is working perfectly. Is there an issue with the drivers in the kernel?

What hardware? What's supposed to start? Can you start a multi-user.target instead? Post the journal from a chroot of a live disk. Does pressing buttons accelerate the process?
Mod note: Moving to NC.

I can't post my hardware from lshw because it freezes when I try to do that so I can only say the main specs:
Intel Core i7-8750H Processor
GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB RAM
Laptop: ASUS ROG GL504GM
The thing that is supposed to start is the CLI environment (tty1) which you log in, but I am stuck in the starting thing before that. I tried changing the systemd target to multi-user but it didn't work. Pressing buttons doesn't work either. And I have no idea how to post the journal.

Alright done, thank you.

That's literally the journal from the live image, that's largely uninteresting, chroot into your main system and post the journal from a failed boot

I posted the log from the package upgrade to 30 mins later, when I rebooted as well.

Does adding the kernel paramater random.trust_cpu=on have any effect?
Offline
Nope. It does not help.

Were any other packages updated as the same time as the linux package? Does the linux-lts package boot correctly?
Offline
I don't use linux-lts and there were a few other packages like nvidia and the virtualbox packages
Offline
That was a suggestion to install and test linux-lts alongside linux. You can have multiple kernels installed at the same time.
Offline
Nope.

If the Nope means linux-lts does not work then please post the contents of /var/log/pacman.log
