I think we have no other choice but to stick with 2.1 after all.
However, until most of the major changes happening in the 2.1 branch
stabilizes to a point where we can actually build WengoPhone without
requiring too much patching/hacking, I won't be updating the
wengophone-ng-svn package in AUR just yet.
On the other hand, the wengophone-ng package will stick with the 2.0 branch.
