[SOLVED] Questions about Arch package web interface

Hello,

according to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Of … _interface

I query through packages in Arch repo like: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/sear … /?q=pacman

But I have several questions which are not mentioned in wiki:

  • Can I set from and limit? (For example I want packages from 100th position to 200th position - for paging)

  • Can I get packages based on categories? For example get only packages from Graphics, or Education, etc..

Re: [SOLVED] Questions about Arch package web interface

From the linked source code: https://git.archlinux.org/archweb.git/t … ch.py#n152

1) You can set limit (up to a maximum of 250) to any value and use the parameter page for accessing the relevant page (up to num_pages )

2) Very unlikely, pacman packages do not contain this information, one had to either make use of the appstream database or parse through desktop files for used categories. Both things this service doesn't do.
