Sharing other folders than Public w/ Gnome User Share WebDAV mechanism

Sharing the Public folder using the Gnome User Share mechanism, that works with WebDAV and mDNS, is really convenient, and I'd like to be able to share other folders this way as well, but that's obviously not easily possible.

I don't really want to add more services like Samba, NFS or FTP for that purpose, with Apache and Gnome User Share for WebDAV already up and running.

So what would be the appropriate procedure, as long as the Gnome project doesn't add the possibility to add custom folders to the sharing settings menu?

Or any other hint on how to share other folders than Public easily, preferably by not tinkering at the command line, but either a settings GUI or directly by using the right-click menu in Nautilus?
