Problems Connecting to WiFi using Gnome UI

I am using Arch for the 1st time in order to learn more about operating systems. I just installed Gnome (gdm, gnome, gnome-extras) and have installed networkmanager and enabled NetworkManager.service using systemctl.

The problem I am running into is Gnome's UI for connecting to WiFi networks seems to be working fine until I click on a network. I can click connect but rather than opening up a menu for inputting a password, the UI closes and doesn't actually connect to a network.

Let me know what system info would be helpful for this issue and thanks in advance.
