Starting today I haven't been able to upgrade my system since my boot partition is too full. To remedy this I've moved partitions around in GParted and allotted 1G of space (hopefully always enough). This didn't fix the issue but I read somewhere that fat32 can have issues that GParted can't fix. Rebooted GParted and, sure enough, there was a caution warning that it couldn't fix (they're apparently working on it). Finally I decided "screw it" and booted arch from USB, copied my EFI partition into my standard partition, deleted and replaced the partition in cfdisk and copied the files back. I am happy to report that my system is still functional after that, but it STILL didn't fix the error. What else can I do?

Did you resize the file system after resizing the partition?
