Hello,
I use arch on hyper-v
And I can't switch the xorg to my resolution.
I've tried to make 10-monitor.conf in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d
But it doesn't work,
have tried te get it with xrand
but it doesn't work
Got a driver conflict between vesa and the hyperv driver

Ok, I'll write my question clairly.
Here is my problem
I launch my xorg.
And when I'm on my graphical environnement, the resolution doesn't match with my monitor.
the resolution of my xorg-server is 1024x764 and my monitor is 1680x1050.
I would like to set my graphical resolution to 1680x1050.
I've tried different things :
create 10-monitor.conf in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d with differents settings
(My xrandr doesn't have my resolution in its list) xrandr with a new mode.
I got a crash error when I set it "no display found" and "gama error"
Sometimes I got "Configure crtc 0 failed"
So how I can change the resolution without problem ?

What resolution are you passing to the boot loader?

This is marked solved -- how did you solve it?

The OP has an edit "Got a driver conflict between vesa and the hyperv driver" iow. he was using the vesa driver which gets you vesa modes - which 1680x1050 is none of.
