grub-mkconfig hangs for several minutes in combination with snapper

Hi,
whenever I run grub-mkconfig this hangs for several minutes.
In combination with snapper and pacman -Syu this can cause a very long update time.
In the system monitor I can see this process utilizing >95% CPU: btrfs-qgroup-rescan

Question:
Can this step btrfs-qgroup-rescan be ommitted?
