For some reason I can't reach any of the postgres package mirrors. I've tried reefreshing my repositories and updating my packages. Nothing. I can connect to the mirror webservers so it's an issue with the package only. Any ideas?

Pick an up-to-date mirror...
Offline
More importantly, pick a non-broken mirror.
kernel.org is almost certainl a good mirror, but note that it fails to retrieve the file there too because the database was retrieved from the first available mirror (evowise.com). And the database retrieved from that first mirror apparently lists outdated packages. The real oddity here, though, is that that mirror has an out-of-date db, but current packages. If it were simple an out of date mirror, you would be able to install the package (just a slightly older version of it).
So the real problem isn't so much that your first mirror is out-dated, but that it is completely broken and internally inconsistent.
