Unable to change the platform in Firefox? [Solved]

I am looking at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fi … d_platform and have applied some of the information from there to my own Firefox browser. The issue is that when I change "general.platform.override" to Win32 and look at https://ipleak.net/ my platform is still Linux x86_64. Same goes for other websites that show you what information you have sent the website, so the issue of the platform information not getting spoofed is consistent across webpages. I change it in about:config just as the wiki says.

I am using: firefox 70.0.1-3

Also: Adding a hardened user.js as in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fi … _templates does not change the platform either (Yes, I have remove the comment signs before the settings addressing said setting)

Was the test performed with resistfingerprinting enabled?  As that does not allow overriding platform to prevent fingerprinting.

Disabling resistfingerprinting fixed it!
