Laptop Hybrid Graphics

Hello!
It is about 6 months that i use ArchLinux on my desktop PC and everything work well. Thus, I installed it on my laptop and have some issues that i can't resolve alone with all the wiki at disposal.
I need some help, it is around 3 days that i can't fix it.

So, my laptop is a Asus R700V series (neofetch tells me that is a K75VJ) with a graphic cards Intel i915 and Nvidia GeForce GT635M. After the installation of the system, it worked right but the Nvidia driver was not installed.
Thus following the wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Hybrid_graphics , I installed the 390.219 driver from the AUR repository. After the installation, I launched nvidia-xconfig to generate the xorg.conf file.
After the reboot, the graphical interface doesnt load sad A blackscreen with a white prompt blinking appear sad

How can I run back to the graphical interface?

Thanks for the answers smile

So I installed Lightdm and Xfce4.

Re: Laptop Hybrid Graphics

You don't need to install anything from the AUR, remove the xorg.conf (where in the hybrid graphics article did you see mention of running nvidia-xconfig that?) and instead follow one of the approaches in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NVIDIA_Optimus

Thanks for the answer.

I already tried some of them solutions.
I'm actually trying to run only the nvidia.

Re: Laptop Hybrid Graphics

Hi!

I ran it well smile

Just deleting all nvidia packages and removed xorg.conf.
I installed Optimus-manager and the computer is able to run on the Intel or/with the Nvidia.
