[SOLVED] Making windows not able to occupy the same space as conky?

Hey everyone,

So I just finished setting up the typical archlinux desktop, openbox+feh+tint2+conky.

I have a 3 monitor setup (1280x1024, 1920x1080 and 1920x1080, in that order) and ideally would like both my conky to be always visible, AND have windows unable to be moved behind conky, essentially drawing a border at the far left side of my leftmost monitor so that windows cannot be placed at all (not on top or below) the space occupied by conky. I tried all the conky options for own_window and own_window_hints, and none of them seem to work (although i was pretty sure one of the options was supposed to do that from when i was messing around with conky on a laptop a few years ago). Is it possible to make conky do this by itself?

If not, is it possible to configure X in such a way that conky is the only window it allows in that area of the screen?

Thanks guys smile

Thank you!

It did not occur to me that I could do this through openbox smile
