Lenovo Ideapad 330s - No sound from dual microphone+headphones AUX

Hi, I have Lenovo Ideapad 330s.

This laptop has single AUX port, which should handle both microphone and headphones at the same time. I want to be able to get sound from my electric piano via aux cable to my laptop.

But my computer doesn't recognize the aux port as input, only as output. I have verified that plugging cable from piano directly to headphones works as expected.

I read ALSA wiki about handling this. I wrote into /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf:

options snd_hda_intel index=0 model=headset-mic

I have two sound cards (from alsamixer):

HDA Intel PCH - Realtek ALC236
HDA NVidia - Nvidia GPU 80 HDMI/DP

I asume the second one is my GPU which knows how to emit sound and send it to monitor I'm connected to. So I found ALC23x section in this list (as linked from wiki): hd audio models (search "23x") and used "headset-mic", which "Indicates a combined headset (headphone+mic) jack", which I thought would work.

It didn't even after multiple reboots.

I also tried to manipulate ports via hdajackretask, but I can't change which port is input/output one.

When I launch pavucontrol, when I have piano disconnected:

Output ports:
  Speakers [sound comes out]
  Headphones (unplugged) [no sound]
Input ports:
  Internal Microphone [sound comes in]
Headset Microphone (unplugged) [sound comes in]

When I plugs aux cable in, when piano is turned on and I play something, no new input device appears, nor new port; and output device switches from "Speakers" to the "Headphones (unplugged)" port (as it does always when I connect any headphones).

Both "Internal Microphone" and "Headset Microphone (unplugged)" listen to sound around my laptop, it doesn't taky any sound from AUX cable.

"Speakers" emit sound via laptop speakers, while "Headphones (unplugged)" emit sound via AUX cable.

It would be awesome if someone could point me in the right direction. I have no idea how to debug this, it's the first time I'm working with anything sound-related.

Thanks.
