After upgrading (a few hours prior to this post) and rebooting, some applications have larger fonts than usual. Affected applications include: Konsole, Dolphin, Okular, KNights. I use HiDPI scaling (1.5x) so I think it's related.

After asking on #kde on freenode I was led to this bug report https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-80919. I also found from https://phabricator.kde.org/D26185 that setting the environment variable QT_ENABLE_HIGHDPI_SCALING to 0 will override the corresponding application attribute. I tried and it got all four apps mentioned back to normal. I now have QT_ENABLE_HIGHDPI_SCALING=0 set globally as a workaround. (Do note that I'm not sure this will work for all applications or everyone's setup.)
In short: I hit QTBUG-80919 causing large fonts with HiDPI. Many Qt-based KDE apps affected. Environment QT_ENABLE_HIGHDPI_SCALING=0 workaround worked for me, but untested by anyone else for now.

Might be given the same option to work around the issue, but I didn't see the same symptoms so initially I thought these are unrelated. Blurry != large.
I'll ask in the other thread.
