[SOLVED] Gnome desktop icons doesn't work properly

Hi everyone,

I'am using Arch Linux (kernel version 5.4.10-arch1-1) with gnome desktop environment.

I installed the package gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-git in order to have a desktop and it didn't report any kind of error but,  after rebooting my pc and enabling the extension, it doesn't work as it should. indeed, there is't any icon on my desktop if I put something in my Desktop directory and the bin and my root directory aren't shown.

the gnome version I'am currently running o my pc is GNOME 3.34.3 (this is what neofetch show about my DE)

Thanks to everyone which will try to find a solution

You can try with

# setcap -r /usr/bin/gnome-shell

then log out and log in. Otherwise you will have to disable "Show recycle bin on the desktop" in the extension settings window.
