[SOLVED] VariCAD Viewer and AUR: a few questions

Hi everyone!

There was VariCAD Viewer in AUR3 (git-archive), but it is no longer in AUR4. Doesn't anyone want to maintain it or is VariCAD Viewer undesirable in AUR for license reasons (proprietary freeware)?  In general, are there any obstacles to adding VariCAD Viewer package to AUR? In the first case, I am ready to start maintaining (although I've never do it before smile ) this package myself, taking as a basis PKGBUILD in AUR3 git-archive.

Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] VariCAD Viewer and AUR: a few questions

When we switched from AUR3 to AUR4 everything from aur3 was archived.
Maintainers had to upload packages to aur4, many packages were not re-submitted.

upstream appears to allow downloading the code without requiring  a login or other blocking mechanisms, license needs to b elooked at but doesn't appear to be  a problem.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
