I know its possible to configure x11vnc to allow taking over the current, running session, basically sharing the local desktop session.
Is it possible to also configure x11vnc to share the login screen?
I don't want to use auto login features if I can help it, but after a reboot or whatever I don't want to have to connect a mouse and keyboard, turn on the TV, etc.
The PC is a mediacenter, running XFCE and LightDM.
Thanks!

Yes, see the wiki.
Related - what mediacenter are you running? Depending on use-case, you don't need to use greeter.

I always read the wiki . I misinterpreted the display manager part and thought that was for headless systems.
The mediacenter application is Jriver MediaCenter. It's possible to run it without a display manager, but I prefer a full desktop environment.
Thanks!
