ThinkCentre M91p Type 4524 — UEFI Question

G'day y'all,

1. I know I have a buggy UEFI from 2014, updated today from manufacturer site.

2. I've installed at least 100 systems from UEFI, buggy ones take longer, but this one is really pissing me off.

3. Doesn't boot UEFI with GRUB, rEFInd, Syslinux or EFIstub from numerous configurations.

My question is:

The Syslinux on the USB booted ISO boots to UEFI; therefore, I should be able to determine the means by which Syslinux has 'hooked itself up' and apply that to my UEFI boot method using Syslinux.

I've tried a standard Syslinux installation and it doesn't work.

Does anyone know of a way to capture a verbose record of what Syslinux is doing in order to apply it to an implementation for booting a buggy UEFI system?

I haven't built a removable installer before so there may be things I'm not considering in this query.

On the current archlinux iso 2020.01.01 syslinux is used only for BIOS mode booting,  systemd-boot is used of UEFI mode booting.
