Last USB device to be plugged in stops working.

Recently I bought a wireless mouse. Since I have plugged it in my USB peripherals have had issues.
I tried different USB ports for the devices and the last USB device to be plugged in stops working.
Additionally if the last USB device is my headset then either the sound or the microphone (but never both) will work.

I have gone through the ALSA and Pulse Audio troubleshooting guides on the WIKI.
Ultimately I think the issue is with power management.

I attempted to write udev rules to /etc/udev/rules.d/50-usb_power_save.rules, using:

I can see that changing the values makes no difference (I did reload it) and everything was set to on by default. So I installed, enabled and started tlp and used

sudo tlp usb

Which did effect a change and set my headsets to auto as mentioned in their documentation (https://linrunner.de/en/tlp/docs/tlp-li … ement.html).

In the end the main problem I am concerned with is getting my microphone on my headset to work in conjunction with the output of my headset.

Interestingly enough my headsets output is routed into my microphone on things like TeamSpeak and Discord.
