Boot latest kernel issue

Hello.

I have installed Arch Linux on my notebook ASUS ROG GL752VW-T4016T (CPU i7-6700HQ, Nvidia GM107M [GeForce GTX 960M]).

After some issues, everything works fine while booting LTS-kernel.

Instead, I have never been succesful booting latest kernel.

When I try, after a few seconds the computer freezes before entering in graphic mode, and the cooling fan starts to turn at very high speed. The only way I have to exit from this situation is to press the power button in order to restart the computer.

Please, may someone suggest a way to proceed to solve this problem?

Thank you

Re: Boot latest kernel issue

Welcome to the arch linux forums xtidix.
If you change the default target to boot into to multi-user.target using kernel parameters does that work?
If that does not work please post the journal from a failed boot.

Re: Boot latest kernel issue

Thank you.
I have changed the default target as suggested, and my PC booted whit latest kernel in command line mode.
After logging in, I tried to start graphical mode (startx), but the command failed.
I don't know if this means that it "it works", so here is the journal of my last failed boot: https://pastebin.com/raw/Q3k5yzMW
