Ok, so I was just doing some editing in ubuntu and saw this little menu that says "Python-Fu". I got excited.
I did a search and found a page that hasn't been updated since May:
http://www.gimp.org/docs/python/index.html
And I wondered how I could overlook it.
See, I suck at image editing, but I am a good programmer. If I could write a script to do images...... yeah. I knew about Script-Fu, though for some reason I thought it was PERL only, so I wasn't interested. But this looks soooooo easy. Wow.
Anybody done anything exciting with this? Have anything interesting to say? Know how to install it?

Python-Fu is already installed in the delelopment branch (and possibly the stable branch). If you look under Xtns on the main toolbar menu, hopefully you will find the Python-Fu menu item. There should be three listings: one for the Python console, one for the Procedure Browser (great for coders), and one to test the installation.

Sorry to bump...
It turns out that on my x_64 version of Gimp, a patched 2.3.11 (for other bugs), that Python-Fu is broken. I reported it to bugzilla, and they responded that it was a duplicate bug that was already fixed in CVS.
