Hi,
I tried to understand the commands that the website gave me without using Linux
To open an account here it was quite easy to do by hands, so i haven't any question about it
But for the wiki one, it asks for the version of pacman and it refuses unless you give him a recent version of pacman and libalpm. How did you manage to do that ? You've done the BASE32 of each version possible of the output ? (because i tried with 1.1.1 and 0.0.0 and 11.1.1 and it denies)
I """retro engeneered""" pacman with pacman sources to get the output of "-V"
I finally succeed by copiying a pacman and libalpm version of internet
You only admit recent version or what ?

The captchas should be no obstacle to archlinux users.

Well, they are only required on registration, so that should be okay.
I also occasionally write here in these forums from my Windows 10 workstation.
I don't think, that the forums are limited to the currently-used-to-post operating system being Arch Linux, but rather to the operating system of the computer you seek help for.

the wiki runs on arch linux, the question changes when its pacman version is updated

So if you haven't the same packages as the server you won't in
Clever
For information, i used a 23 days old post from Manjaro support forum (Pacman v5.2.1 - libalpm v12.0.1), lucky that there wasn't any update since

You might run into some issues if there is a new pacman version in the testing repository and you use it or during the time frame where the repository version differs from the wiki version during regular updates. (probably a few hours?)

Orrrrrr, more likely to happen, if you don't madly update your packages
For me it's not a really good solution to make checkings who depends on packages of people
It's funny to make that kind of script but for a public infrastructure, making that the entry door...
