Hi forum,
I installed the Gnome desktop environment on top of Arch. I have a problem with the gnome-software-center, though. Upon starting it, I receive a message stating a 'core'-problem: serious system error (translated from Dutch, so actual message in English might be bit different).
The 'All' and 'Installed' tabs work correctly, but under 'Updates' it says: 'no plug-in could handle get-updates' (in English). I already figured out that reinstalling gnome-software-packagekit-plugin with pacman solves the problem temporarily, but after rebooting the same error occurs.
Any help would be appreciated!

Unfortunately that article didn't provide any help. Thanks anyway, Durden.
I found out that when I run 'killall gnome-software' prior to opening gnome-software-center, the updates are loaded properly.
Any ideas, folks?

I am not sure if was resolved, but I had the same issue. I installed this plugin and resolved the issue.

This fix worked for me. Thank you so very much for the answer!

This link redirected me to the main article of GNOME, with nothing relating to Software
and this plugin
is removed
I'm still having the same issue, and I would like to add more repositories to the software centre.

Packagekit integration on Arch is very lackluster and the relevant alpm plugin unmaintained.
Arch is the wrong distribution if you want to rely on the software center for managing repo packages.
