Calling all Xorg 7.1/VIA Unichrome users...

If you're using XOrg 7.1 and EXA-compatible hardware (Intel, VIA, not sure what else), could you please enable EXA in xorg.conf (Option "AccelMethod" "exa") and tell me if Xorg locks up when started? I'm trying to confirm this for Unichrome, and I also want to see if it's a problem with other hardware...

Edit: Seems this is a Unichrome-specific bug. I'd still be happy if anyone using via/unichrome/openchrome drivers could confirm it though.

Here it works, Radeon 9200 Pro, Athlon64 3000+, VIA K8M800.
I found no errors in /var/log/Xorg.log

EDIT: hmm, I've some strange lags, ex. when I'm moving window. So yes, I've some errors - but nothing special in log.

i htink the lag prob might be fixed in the new package version of video drivers and xorg.

Intel 855GM here. X starts fine, but the logfile tells that

(WW) I810(0): Option "AccelMethod" is not used

I think EXA is currently not implemented in the stable i810 driver.

I have a Mach64 and use the atimisc driver. Although composite is still horribly slow (as expected, the mach64 isn't very powerful), it is stable.

It's not a lag problem and it's not fixed by those packages.

As for the rest of ya... alright then, this seems to be a problem with the VIA driver. I'll try looking at Basilburn's Xorg 7.1 PKGBUILDs again, because EXA worked with those for xf86-video-via without any lockups.
