Is it okay to use a username as a package mantainer?

I don't really like giving out my name on the internet if it's not really necessary.

So, Is it okay if I replace the mantainer name with a personal username?

Pretty sure no one will rip your head off, so go ahead.

Not everyone lists Maintainer comments in the first place. Generally, such comments exist because the person who put them there wants to be a) credited for their work, b) easily contacted by legitimate users who have problems with the package.

It is *very* common for those comments to contain an internet handle rather than a legal name, paired with a public email address created specifically for giving out to people online and not used for private or IRL affairs.
