How to log acpi events?

Hi,
When I close the lid of my laptop (Lenovo X1 Extreme) it suspends even when external screens or a dock is connected.
The default behavious should be to ignore the lid closing event, which I think is handled by systemd.
I haven't installed the acpid daemon, which shouldn't be necessary when I just want to use the systemd builtin handler, right?
In which log are the acpi events written? And how do I see the events triggering the systemd acpi handler?
Thanks,

Re: How to log acpi events?

Which DE are you running? Some of them inhibit the systemd settings with their own configurations...

I am running i3-wm, so there should not be any DE imposed configuration
