Not sure what I can safely delete (would like to get a clean lostfiles output tbf). I have removed the lines from the output which are the result of my tinkering, as well as those lines (and files) that for sure belonged to the packages that I have uninstalled.

As I understand, .pacsave and .pacnew are helper files for pacman, so I can get rid of those.
Also, python3.7 files, since it is replaced by python3.8, can be deleted as well.
How come font files not belong to font packages, icon cache files not belong to icon theme packages, and keepass/mono files are also shown as "orphan" files, even though they are certainly created by these packages.

Re: [SOLVED] ran lostfiles, not sure what to delete

You aren't going to get a clean lostfiles output (why is that a goal? There will always be files that you might've adjusted yourself  or that are generated outside of packages)

Most of the files you are wondering about, are as you've found out cache files. They are generated based on information/packages available on your system by the post-install hooks ran during a relevant pacman update. They aren't part of the package because they will differ from system to system.

Ok, thank you, now it's much more clear. Marking as solved then smile

Re: [SOLVED] ran lostfiles, not sure what to delete

You should be dealing with your .pacnew files as soon as possible after the update that creates them.
