Blank screen after resume

Hi to all

I have a Lenovo ideapad 310 on witch i run arch with i3wm. Everything runs quite well when i am connected to the electric network thru the power supply. But if i disconnect the power supply when the lid is closed and hence the laptop  is suspended, something weird happens when after a while i reconnect. Sometimes i get a blank screen. I know that the tty terminal is running because if i apply the keybinding

Alt+Shift+e

and then

p

to power off, i get the desired action. I searched thru different forums about this issue but i am afraid to do a big mistake and break the OS. Can anybody help me with this issue? Thanks in advance!
