[SOLVED] Yet Another "Won't start after an update"

Friday I made an update and after a reboot LXDE (lightdm) won't start. I tried with different kernel configuration (RT an not) but same result. I can switch between terminals and I can login but it is pretty annoying because of  continued loss of terminal control: the system (systemd?) coninuosly try to start graphical envirnoment without success (coredump) but this cause the switch into graphical tty.

I've removed HD and I attached it as an external drive in another PC just for have a look at log files and I found:

Please only make posts when your system is actually up to date, as this problem has been fixed a few days ago and would be fixed if your system was updated at the time of this writing.

One thing that does seem a bit different to the other posts

systemctl isolate multi-user.target

FWIW it should stop trying after a few times. If need be add systemd.unit=multi-user.target to your boot parameters to ensure graphical isn't loaded.
